Euro-Cordiale (LU)

Euro-Cordiale is a Luxembourg association working on a European level.

Aims:
- research and innovation in teaching, - creating teaching tools and games, - organising and creating training programmes, - disseminating teaching tools, - adapting teaching tools into other European languages, - supporting all activities which help social and cognitive development in young people and adults with learning difficulties, or who are illiterate or have weak literacy skills, or who have few or no qualifications.

Roles in the project:
- General coordination of the project
- Listing and analysing existing certification systems in Luxembourg
- Collecting first-hand accounts from young people, teachers and company managers
- Creating skills charts for the certification reference list
- Illustrating the skills/competencies chosen by selected exercises, especially from the tools produced by Euro Cordiale in previous projects
- Testing the reference list
- Creating and organising teacher training modules in the use of the reference list
- Creating the project website

 

EURO-SAVOIR (BG)

The association is a non-governmental organisation created in 2004 by specialists with extensive experience in working on educational and social projects. The members of the association are representatives from various non-governmental organisations in the region of Silistra, working in the field of education, social defence, computer technology and ecology.

Aims:
- Cooperating with institutions in the community to solve problems of ecology, education and saving the cultural heritage.
- Studying, popularising and applying Bulgarian and international models and practices for social and economic development.
- Studying and applying innovative practices in the field of education.
- Elaborating projects and programmes to help people with social problems.

Roles in the project:
- Translating documents into Bulgarian
- Listing national certification systems, skills charts and reference lists in Bulgaria
- Collecting first-hand accounts
- Participating in the creation of the reference list
- Testing the reference list

GIP FCIP - Académie de Limoges (F)

GIP FCIP (further education and vocational integration): favours cooperation on a regional level between the different components in the public service in the French education department to conduct common interest actions in further education, validation of skills and experience and vocational integration. The chief education officer is the chairman, and the regional education authority representative for further education is the director.
The GIP is also a management tool for actions which go beyond the competency of the local education establishments or which associate several public partners from different fields.
Each of the partners continues to lead their own actions at their level and in their own area of competency.

Roles in the project:
- Creation of surveys with teachers, employers and trainees with no qualifications
- Studying the results of these surveys
- Providing conditions for testing the skills chart in an apprenticeship training centre, a mainstream special vocational teaching section and a permanent vocational training centre for the restaurant trade
- Analysing the results of the chart tests
- Analysing the assessment questionnaires of the charts done by the teachers,
- Disseminating the reference list to various interested parties in France.

L'Institut National d'Étude du Travail et d'Orientation Professionnelle (INETOP) (F)

INETOP is an institute belonging to the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) a public scientific, cultural and professional institution. It conducts basic and applied research in career psychology and ensures:

- Mainstream teaching programmes:
-training of career guidance counsellors for the Ministry of Education
-Masters in “Work and social sciences” specialising in “Career guidance and work psychology”.
-Further education programmes for lifelong learning career guidance professionals
-Advice and expertise at the request of international organisations and institutions (UNESCO, OECD, etc.). In this capacity, INETOP is a partner in numerous Comenius and Leonardo da Vinci European projects.
INETOP disseminates scientific knowledge and documentation on career guidance practices thanks to:
-its information and career guidance resource centre on tests and assessment software,
-its library (approximately 20,000 titles)
-its scientific reading committee review (Guidance for school and vocational orientation).

Faculté de Psychologie et de Sciences de l'Education de l'Université de Porto (P)

The Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto is deeply committed to research into all matters concerning work integration and career guidance.
Teachers at the university work closely with educational establishments and businesses.

Roles in the project:
- Translation of documents into Portuguese
- Listing existing certification systems and skills charts in Portugal
- Collecting first-hand accounts
- Participating in the creation of a common basic skills chart
- Participating in the creation of a training module
- Testing the reference list

 

Tages- und Abendschule (D)

Tages- und Abendschule is a state-recognised lifelong learning institute (evening school / secondary schooling evening classes up to a specialised school leaving exam):
- Acquiring the Hauptschulabschlusses, the Fachoberschulreife and the specialised leaving exam
- Vocational career guidance and help in passing from school to a company
- 1,180 learners are currently attending 50 lessons
Teaching modules:
- Career guidance
- Developing communication skills
- Developing social skills
- Acquiring key qualifications
- Integration of migrant workers
- Cooperating in European projects
It offers different types of lessons:
- morning classes
- afternoon and evening classes
- lessons for women (particularly those with children)
- lessons for emigrants
- working and learning

- Translating documents into German
- Listing the certification systems and skills charts from the “Nordrhein-Westfalen” region
- Collecting first-hand accounts
- Participating in the creation of the reference list
- Testing the reference list

Action Locale pour Jeunes (L)

Population cible :
Tous les jeunes et jeunes adultes en transition de l’école à la vie active entre 14-17 ans en situation d’instabilité sociale et professionnelle entre 15 et 29 ans

Objectifs :

-Créer un espace/encadrement dans lequel la personne trouve les moyens nécessaires :
--- -pour réussir sa transition de l’école à la vie active ou
--- -pour parvenir à une insertion sociale et professionnelle

Rôles dans le projet :

- Recenser et analyser les systèmes de certification existant au Luxembourg
- Recueillir des témoignages de jeunes et de responsables d’entreprise
- Expérimenter le référentiel
- Participer aux traductions en langue allemande

CEP-L (L)

La Chambre des employés privés au service des employés privés (an organisation to which all private sector workers must belong)
- Created in 1924 by a law establishing professional bodies
- Today: 3 bodies for employees and 3 for employers
- The CEP-L: a public institution under the Ministry for Work and Employment
- Main mission: save and defend the interests of its members, employees in the private sector
- 150,000 members in 2007
- Financial independence for its activities
- Plenary assembly = supreme body made up of 38 members elected during the social elections and representing union organisations in Luxembourg
- Consultative body, intervenes in the country’s legislative procedure
Representative body
-sitting on councils and commissions
-recommending assessors to works tribunals
- Publishes works on labour laws, social security and social and economic subjects
- Participates in the organisation of mainstream teaching programmes
- Biggest supplier of further education courses (+/- 7,000 enrolments each year)
- Elected best further education institute in Luxembourg in 2007

ICP (F)
 

L’institut de Création Pédogogique (ICP)

ICP is dedicated to innovative teaching practices through the creation of books and CD-ROMs in French and other European languages.
Several creators work with ICP as illustrators, composers, translators-adapters, authors and creators of teaching concepts. Three authors and illustrators are published by Hachette.
ICP has taken part in a Leonardo da Vinci transnational language project: multimedia additions in French to the CD-ROM “Restaurant Venezia” (selected as representing best practices by the European Commission).
It has also participated in the LdV project “900 exercises in vocational communication” and in “Bienvenue à Graphoville” (“Welcome to Graphoville”).

Roles in the project:
-Participating in the creation of the skills chart
-Creating the project website
-Collaborating in the adaptation of the teaching guide in English
-Participating in the assessment of training days for teachers in France and partner countries with INETOP and the University of Namur
-Participating in the internal assessment of the project throughout its duration
-Organising international meetings that will take place in Paris
